Its Distribution segment distributes power transmission, motion control, electrical and automation, and fluid power products, including bearings, mechanical and electrical power transmission, fluid power, motion control, automation, material handling components, electrical control and power distribution, and MRO supplies, as well as provides value-added services. The company's Aerospace segment produces and/or markets aircraft bearings and components; and metallic and composite aero structures for commercial, military, and general aviation fixed and rotary wing aircraft. This segment also provides safe and arming solutions for missile and bomb systems for the U.S. and allied militaries; support for its maritime helicopters, and manned and unmanned medium-to-heavy lift helicopters; and engineering design, analysis, and certification services, as well as subcontracts helicopter work. The company also provides engineering, design, and support for automation, electrical, linear, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as belting and rubber fabrication, customized mechanical services, hose assemblies, repair, fluid analysis, and motor management. Kaman Corporation operates in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, and internationally. The company was founded in 1945 and is headquartered in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
